Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom. "Have I ever told you about the tension of opposites?" he says. The tension of opposites? "Life is a series of pulls back and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else. Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn't . You take certain things for granted, even though you know you should never take anything for granted. "A pull of opposites, like a pull on a rubber band. And most of us live somewhere in the middle." Sounds like a wrestling match, I say. "A wrestling match." He laughs. "Yes, you could describe life that way." So which side wins, I ask? "Which side wins?" He smiles at me, the crinkled eyes, the crooked teeth. "Love wins. Love always wins." Tuesday, June 09, 2009 @ 8:39 AM

As some of you may know, my entire live messenger contact list mysteriously disappeared the other day. It now works on a you-can-see-me-but-I-cannot-see-you basis. Managed to add most of my classmates and some others again, guess that would have to do for now. My body clock has been... pretty much screwed beyond repair after the assessment. I go to bed at 6am and awake happily at around 5pm everyday. To be honest, I'm rather bored. Ever since the holidays started I've read seven books (Had to wait for Esther to finish 'Mr Cavendish, I presume' at her tortoisereadingspeed before I got my hands on it.) Now I am sitting here waiting for Gina to return my call, so I can tell that we are going out tomorrow and that she has no choice but to agree to come along with us, muahaha. Pamela came to stay over yesterday and we watched BARBIE AND THE DIAMOND CASTLE *FAINTS* Jaden, Jarett, Julian! =D ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thursday, May 07, 2009 @ 1:05 AM
"Dianadiana what does my sculpture look like to you?" "Um, its a bird, sitting on a... sewing machine?" *Kills myself* Tuesday, April 07, 2009 @ 9:41 AM
A few weeks ago, I was stuck in the train station because of the downpour. (Seriously, every time I bring my pretty umbrella to school there's not a dark cloud in sight but EVERY TIME I CHOOSE TO LEAVE IT AT HOME IT RAINSSSS, WHY? I ended up walking in the rain, and suddenly this random lovely person asked me if I wanted to share her umbrella. She sheltered me for awhile, until we had to go in different directions. I was more than just a little bit touched. She was a stranger, she didn't have to offer but she did. Lovely strangers exist! Hee. I read Blue-eyed devil by Lisa Kleypas yesterday(I know I know, May 13th is coming, I know) and cried twice... although, thinking back, the storyline wasn't even THAT saddening. Something's wrong. This must be what stress does to people. Or maybe, its just the time-of-the-month thing. "I'm a dreamer. I will share mine with you, I will live yours." |
